Electing two members to the Dementia NI Board of Trustees is a very important role of the Member Forum. To assist with their decision making, members welcomed CEO Clare Watson to give a presentation on the role of a Trustee on the Board at their meeting held in Dungannon.

Today Omagh members and Facilitators Patricia and Rachel enjoyed meeting up. After discussing the Paris Olympics, we were joined by Kara Sloane from Rise. Lots of fun games were played which brought out everyone's inner Olympian and competitive side. 🥇 🤸 🤼 🏋️ 🚴 😊

During the summer, members love the opportunity to meet up with others to socialise with members from different groups. Yesterday members from our Bangor and Ards groups met for a friendly game of bowls. Everyone had a great time learning new skills and having fun! 😃 🎳 ☕

Our Empowerment groups take a break over the summer months; however, members still enjoy keeping in touch and meeting others from local Dementia NI groups. Last week Belfast members met at Hazelbank Park. The sun shone brightly and the members enjoyed themselves immensely. 🌞🚶🏼👑
