Work in progress. I was asked to turn a small disk to fit on the floor underneath a spiral staircase. The actual size of the disk is 1070mm X 40. So I have set my lathe up to accommodate this on the slow speed and away I go. I have finished this now.

Over the last 4 months at 2 days a month we at woodturning Hartlepool have been presenting the certificate in woodturning by the worshipful company of Turners. 4 pupils were taken thorough a syllabus to ensure they got the best tutoring of all aspects of Turning.

Shavings shavings and more shavings my regular pupils on a Thursday afternoon that may I add has only had 12 2hr sessions with me has not only produced all these shavings has with my help produced this fab 14"X2"platter in olive Ash. The finish on it is Woodward 22.

Very good turnout at Huddersfield woodturning club tonight. My demo went well and I turned 2 items firstly a design by Tony Wilson of the red post box money box. Then a hinged trinket box.

After a few weeks away due to illness and meeting's, my pupil this afternoon turned a candle holder. What we need to do now is reproduce it to make a pair of sticks and I am sure he will be able to do that no problem. We'll done for this afternoon and will see you next week.
