1/2 Effective immediately, the load capacity of the Bristy Cove River Bridge on Cape Race Road is reduced to 12 tonnes for Single-unit vehicles, 21 tonnes for two-unit vehicles, and 29 tonnes for vehicle trains. The bridge is located 9.6 kms from the beginning of Cape Race Road.

2/2 A recent inspection found that due to the condition of the bridge, a load reduction is required for safety reasons. Signage is in place. DFO is currently exploring options to reinforce or replace the Bristy Cove River Bridge. We appreciate your cooperation.

1/2 Today, Minister Hutchings, on behalf of the Minister Lebouthillier, announced an investment for reconstructing, repairing and dredging at 26 craft harbours in Newfoundland and Labrador over the next three years.

We are devastated to learn of the death of one of our employees following a plane crash yesterday during a scientific mission near Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Our thoughts are with the families of the employees aboard the plane and with all our employees.

1/2 It’s never a dull moment aboard the #CCGSAmundsen! Members of our science team, in a collaboration with the @Smithsonian @NMN and NMNH Invert Zoology, have deployed 3D printed corals off Labrador to better understand the role played by corals as habitat.
