This reminds me of my favorite attendings from residency and fellowship. They expected us to have read up about our patients and be prepared for rounds. I had to justify and be able to explain my thought process. Their high expectations made me a better doctor.

My take is that certain people are intimidated by prepared and capable women. Men are constantly PRAISED for this kind of leadership and attention to detail. If you’re embarrassed or intimidated by strong women, that’s a YOU problem regardless of your gender identity.
