Congratulations to BBC News (UK) and Ben Boulos for the Witness History programme. Moving and world-changing stories of the fight for LGBT acceptance. Enlightening, emotional but ultimately brave and victorious tales that helped to prove humanity still exists.

A not very subtle hint as to my latest David Walliams HQ stage adaptation. Great privilege to have been trusted with my seventh of David’s marvellous children’s books. The play is off on two national tours with Heartbreak Productions in the summer.

Six years ago today, my first novel was published. Amazing how something so small can mean so much (as all my ex’s have said). The vast majority of us, regardless of sexuality, believe in equality in sport. This strengthening tide of acceptance is unstoppable. #gayfootball #lgbt

Final night of the ghost tours at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Three in one night! Exhausted, but wonderful to have written and performed these stories of the most haunted theatre in the world . And, let’s face it, any excuse to wear breeches!

Looking though old photos, I suddenly realised why hair product manufacturers made record profits when I was 30. A tornado wouldn’t shift that bouffant!

Last few days of my holiday in New Zealand. Meeting members of my first family for the first time. I’ve been welcomed with open arms everywhere. And such a stunning country. Vibrant and totally relaxed at the same time. Makes you reevaluate your life. And I have.

Spent yesterday evening with these beautiful people watching the truly brilliant #choirofman. If you want to believe in humanity again, go see this. Funny, welcoming, wildly energised, and totally huggable, and a superb cast. Left the theatre walking six feet above the ground.

Posting my war poem to commemorate the indescribable bravery of all the heroes that took part in the D-Day landings. There are simply no words that can describe our gratitude.

Hugely pleased to announce that my new play, Gay Pride And No Prejudice, will be having a 4-week run at The Union Theatre in October. Produced by Stephen Leslie and directed by Luke Fredericks, it’s the story of suppressed sexuality and women’s rights in the 1800s. #gay #theatre
