Orin Kerr May I chime in as someone who took a state court clerkship - don’t overlook these opportunities. Nothing could replace the experience I had of clerking in a Georgia Superior Court (court of general jurisdiction). It also led to a job as an assistant DA in the same circuit.

I am still waiting for the “super state intermediate appellate judge” selections to come out. Fingers crossed.

There is lots of great advice in this thread as the new clerkship year begins (including one of my new clerks this week). Clerking was the best job I had until this one, and if you and the judge have picked right it should be a formative and important experience for the clerks.
