The Voice will ensure that we're no longer making policies and laws about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people without consulting them. Listening to what they want and need will help us finally close the gap. #TheVoice #Yes23 #Berowra4yes

Like millions of Australians I'm heartbroken about the referendum outcome. A lack of collaboration & bipartisanship was always going to make it hard for it to pass. But there is always hope. More Australians than ever before are now firmly walking with Indigenous Australians.

'A society which doesn’t reproduce itself is a dying society, in which the quality of life will go down for everyone'. Some great ideas to incentivise the fertility rate and support working families. Great piece by Parnell Palme McGuinness McGuinness. smh.com.au/business/the-e…

Four women in my home state murdered this week, allegedly at the hands of intimate/former partners. I’m sickened by the statistics. The slaughter has to stop. Saturday is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women #IDEVAW. This violence is preventable😢

With rising anti-Semitism, today’s statement by 1000+ business and community leaders is critical. Hopefully this campaign will encourage those who have stayed silent, or simply haven’t appreciated the dangerous trajectory we’re on, to speak out and stamp out anti-Semitism.

The findings from the Mental Health Report I tabled 2 yo ago highlighted devastating impacts of extreme weather events on the mental health of Aussies. Many COP28 UAE now hearing about the health implications of climate change. Plenty of evidence... youtu.be/dObEc6pasl0

The Treasurer said a few days ago have more babies.... During a cost of living crisis you'd think young new mums and dads on maternity/paternity leave who are on a lower income would be supported with more money for rent and nappies. The Government have instead chosen to hand the

Mental health is a big loser in this budget. Why is the government ignoring the mental health crisis? Mental health services are essential health services and proper reform to our mental health system is as much an economic argument as it is a health argument.

In 2022-2023, there was a 28% increase in women being killed in domestic violence murders across the country, upending the downward trend over the past decade. It is not beyond Australia to reverse this trend. It's just a matter of priorities. smh.com.au/national/nsw/t…

Excluding LGBTQ+ community from the census because it's "too divisive" is not supportive or inclusive. Collecting data and collective data on sexuality and gender identity is necessary for planning services, including health services. Let the Australian Bureau of Statistics do their job.
