A man cracks a San Pellegrino, plugs in his iPhone to charge by USB-C and phones home with free roaming. His return flight is delayed, but EU 261 will compensate him. Who is this man I'm talking about? Because of GDPR you'll never know. #EUlife

Primary teachers heading back to school might be interested in this. There’s lots of great stuff on the Royal Society of Chemistry education website, and much of the primary resources have also been translated into Irish! #ChemEd #PrimaryScience

Great thread with important corrections to much of the misinformation surrounding the famous Wizard of Oz movie from 1939. I still love the scene when Dorothy walks through the door from the sepia toned house into the colourful land of Oz

While you attend Dublin Maker this weekend a well trained turtle will lockpick their way into your house and very slowly hoover under your bed. There is nothing we can do to stop them, it's an Eventbrite bug. We have raised a support ticket.

Good luck to everyone expecting CAO offers today. Back in the old days, instead of receiving offers online, the newspapers printed a whole supplement of offers. For example, the person hi lighted below has a CAO number ending 024935 and got an offer of course TR31.

Love this infographic It shows that a hydrogen fuel cell car needs 3 times as much electricity to be generated than an EV does to move the same distance A car powered by synthetic petrol needs 6x as much! More energy = higher costs to driver Which is why EVs will win

This was bound to happen, and it will get worse for smaller subjects. One of the big issues that nobody mentions is that we have a high number of secondary schools per capita - twice that of Scotland. It means smaller schools, but more teachers needed - double edged sword

It’s our fourth year at the Dublin Maker festival, third for our CCI project. We have improved the activity hugely since the early days and the response has been very positive. Great to see Dublin Maker go to 2 days this year! #PublicEngagement #SciComm

It's #InternationalChocolateDay! Did you know that chocolate is toxic to dogs? 🐶 Or that some chocolate contains butyric acid, also found in vomit? 🤮 More chocolate chemistry in this updated edition of #PeriodicGraphics in C&EN (Chemical & Engineering News) 👇
