One of the key lessons of economics is that there are no solutions, only tradeoffs. This is the point being made in this post about the challenges Israel faces in this moment, and it is made with great humility.

Hamas claim to be about to release videos with "messages" from the 6 hostages they murdered. They had guns pointed at them off camera, perhaps the gun that killed them. DO NOT share them, DO NOT engage. People sharing them are serving Hamas for clout.

Could have happened 10 months ago, but America took a different approach. It's not too late, but I am not holding my breath. The arc of history may not ever bend towards justice. But it certainly doesn't do it in a linear fashion.
