In 2002 Jon Rothstein ate three course breakfasts in the Ithaca College Campus Center, spewing all there was to know about basketball.

Now, he works CBS sidelines on the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Congrats to Steve Dombroski for receiving the MET 'Good Guy' award. It is certainly much deserved as I put you in the same class with Kenny Klein at Louisville. That is the highest compliment I could give anyone

The last time Duquesne Basketball went dancing…

Clyde was still a Knick
Seaver was still a Met (first stint)
Son of Sam was still on the loose

Long time coming. Love to see it. Congrats to the Dukes.

Who are some household names and cult hero’s of the NCAA Tournament who never played in the NBA?

Unfortunately, no Bryce Drew, Keith Smart, etc.

Dereck Whittenburg
Harold Arcenaux
Kevin Pittsnogle

Thanks for sharing Robert, incredibly sad news. Ronnie was simply unforgettable. He loved Manhattan and the MAAC. I’ll miss his laugh and sense of humor. And yes, even the times he coerced a ride down to the subway or all the way home. RIP from Mr. Ed

Sad to hear of the passing of Ronnie Weintraub. A true Jasper, Ronnie made it to nearly every game, even when we were on the road.

Has a player ever been granted three free throws after switching hands to fire a one-handed three pointer…while using the other hand to ward off the defender whose arms were straight up…all while landing safely with enough momentum to backpedal to the backcourt? Wrong call.
