It is the middle of August and the local campsite is unnaturally quiet. I'm not sure if it is the incessant bad weather, ferry cancellations, or the imminent storms that are to blame. Probably all three.

As getting to Iona via ferry is currently a hit and miss affair due to storms, here's a photo from earlier this year. This is taken from the northern end of Iona, with the Isle of Mull looming in the background.
