I am happy to have stepped in to update and revitalise Saint Helena’s Legislative Council after a month of inoperation, at the behest of Governor @HenrySomerset_. I hope and look forward to work with both sides of the Council to restart Council sessions and improve its activity.

🇸🇭This evening, The Governor, joined by The Deputy Governor & Plantation Secretary, met with the Commonwealth Secretary-General. A variety of initiatives + plans were discussed, concerning ways to help boost, and improve the Commonwealth, and its reach in Saint Helena.

Glad to have met with the Chancellor and Chief Secretary today to discuss the BBC. I look forward to working with them to improve and revitalise the BBC, and hopefully push our recruitment strategy!

It's an honour to have been appointed Permanent Secretary to the DCMS by the Cabinet Secretary. My experience in BBC provided me with a lot of insight into the UK media sector, that I will definitely bring to the development of this department. I cannot wait to get started!

Plantation House to undergo staff structure reforms.

This morning, His Excellency flew to Australia, where he met with the Governor-General at Government House. The visit to Australia was his first state visit since his appointment in September. Discussions included the two nations’ relationship, development & defence.

This evening, in the gardens of Plantation House, His Excellency the Governor formally proclaimed King Edward I as Sovereign, following the passing of King Robert. The Governor sends his best wishes to His Majesty the King and his family during this time of mourning.

After the State Funeral Governor EdwardHardcastle and Deputy Governor ZaneJAlexander OBE attended the Comittal Of His Majesty The Late King Robert.
