Some of you may know that I met Emily on a Liberal Democrat housing policy working group. Well, I was extremely proud to join her today in Chessington to visit some wonderful new council homes she’s made happen as the Housing lead on Kingston Council.

Political violence is wrong. I am shocked to wake up to these awful scenes from Pennsylvania and my thoughts are with the victims and their families. We must all condemn this appalling attempt on Donald Trump’s life.

Andrea is one of tens of thousands of carers hit by unfair repayment demands from the DWP, for going just a few pounds over an arbitrary earnings limit. Today I asked the Prime Minister to meet with me and other family carers to discuss how to resolve this scandal.

With millions on NHS waiting lists and struggling financially, we need bold action. The Liberal Democrats will propose positive solutions and hold the new government accountable if they fail to rise to the challenges facing the country.

Very sad to have heard about the sudden passing of my friend, Subramaniam Senthilkumar, a good man who leaves behind a grieving community and family. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
