14 years ago, I nervously came out to my parents as 🏳️‍🌈, and they soon detached, estranged, dissolved. #Pride seemed then an embarrassment, a type of failing. This is not atypical among #LGBT individuals. But after a rocky road I’ve learned to ❤️, find joy & pride and reconnect.
