Hats off to Ariella Thompson for speaking so candidly to me about her experience of struggling with type-1 diabetes and eating disorders. There are fears that tens of thousands like her are still suffering in silence … #T1DE

Incredibly powerful feature & a condition which is far more widespread than many realise. Well done hilarynathan & Ariella Thompson - you were brilliant 👏 Let’s hope we can now get closer to the support T1DE so badly needs 🙏 JDRF UK
Huge thanks Ariella Thompson hilarynathan George Howarth MP & the Davison’s for the coverage today. And to all those involved in raising awareness. A topic very close to my heart. #T1DE is more common than many know: it’s reported in up to 40% of females 15% of males with #T1D.
Really chuffed with this report thanks has to go to George Howarth MP for his Decades of dedication to those with t1d and Theresa May for really listening in those evidence sessions. Proud, hopeful and looking forward.
