University of Chicago Police Department, accompanied by Cook County Sheriff's officers, swept the campus Gaza solidarity encampment just before dawn Tuesday.

Within minutes they destroyed much of the camp, then forced people out of the quad to finish the job.

Evacuating students encampments by force has been not only very disturbing but also personally triggering for me. I remembered how many times Egyptian military forces did this in Tahrir in 2011 and 2012. 1/2
