Paying more and more for less and less - vital new research out today from CitizensAdvice on the vicious cycle trapping private renters in unsafe and insecure homes. New govt has promised reforms. These need to be strong - and soon - to tackle this crisis.

Powerful evidence from Institute for Fiscal Studies that inflation has been higher for low-income households than for the average household. The Household Cost Indices (HCI) more accurately measures inflation for low-income households. That's why benefits should be uprated every year using HCI.
