What a great day in Hampton with my colleague, David Suetterlein as we greeted so many Virginians participating in our state convention!

May we reflect on what the Greatest Generation waded into to ensure the way of life we cherish now exists. On this day in 1944, these soldiers knew our world was at a crossroads with only one option. They took that mission knowing the survival of America was at stake.

Let’s be clear: the Senate fought against the language which gutted VMSDEP in the original budget HB30. The VA Senate GOP stands ready to come back ASAP to fix the budget and fight for all Veterans and especially dependents of our MIA, combat disabled,and Gold Star families.

Did You Know: On June 14, 1777 the Continental Congress passed a resolution to note that America must have a flag to represent our Nation. On that same day, a design for the American flag was approved!🇺🇸

Thank you Governor Glenn Youngkin for reaching an agreement that works for Virginians that deserve the full support that the VMSDEP program was designed to offer!

Praying for my friends that work so hard every year to make the Franklin-Southampton County Fair happen. After today’s storm damage, they have made the tough decision to cancel this year’s fair that was to start this week. I know they will be back bigger and better next year!

Voters WANT confidence in the security of their vote. This isn’t partisan, this is a common sense approach to encourage Virginians to participate in the electoral process with confidence that their vote is counted. 🗳️ 🇺🇸
