I wish that more people with #stroke and #aphasia would explore peer support groups in their area. I feel that more SLTs could encourage them. It can be scary but with help they can give it a try. I know it works (I’ve chaired one for over ten years) #aphasiaaearenessmonth

Early days of #stroke and #aphasia - waiting at the bedside, waiting for OT, SLT, doctor’s rounds. Waking up in the morning and thinking ‘is this real’? Overwhelmed. Scared. Desperate. More help and support is needed for #carers. #aphasiaawarenessmonth

The best #therapy for Randy is living his life to the fullest. Like many survivors, Randy’s stroke changed his life. Still, it does not hold him back from enjoying his life and participating in his favorite activities, like spending time with his family, fishing, and camping.

This is a strong report from British Heart Foundation which Stroke Association supports. The new Govt needs to take cardiovascular diseases, including stroke and diabetes, seriously and the 10-year Health Plan needs to contain clear CVD and stroke commitments Charmaine Griffiths Maeva May ColetteMarshall
