Admirals are leaders! W R. McNeill Elementary 5th grader Eleni Samios led a bottle cap collection, turning 600 lbs of caps into 3 benches and a garden bed. Thanks to Eleni and her peers, the school and local parks benefit! Next up: a new garden with donations from Compost BG. Congrats,

Music Teacher Kelley Wiggins asked BGISD Teranga Academy students what instruments they miss from their home countries. From the answers, she researched, made a list, and placed the order.
Now, students are playing and learning with new Djembes, Udus, Shekeres, and more!
Kindergarten astronauts have returned from a successful mission to space. Last Thursday, students in Mr. White’s class at W R. McNeill Elementary spent the day visiting space from their classroom, including exploring numbers beyond 20, and building and coding LEGO moon taxis.

1st graders at W R. McNeill Elementary chose 3 new books to take home during a celebration Wednesday. Bluey from the Warren County Public Library visited for a story before students chose books. The event is made possible by the Reading is Fundamental Program and the International Paper Company.
