Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a bill allowing homebuilders to use more 16- and 17-year-old teenagers on residential construction sites.

The bill (HB 917) was pushed by lobbyists for builders like Lennar, DR Horton, Pulte, GL Homes and Mattamy.

It's interesting to me how #BrittneyGriner was trashed for bringing vaping pens into Russia by these politicians and law and order types. But there is gnashing of teeth and rending of garments over an Oklahoma man who brought hunting ammo into Turks and Caicos.

I was a stocky, mouthy and gifted kid. Good grades but I was often in trouble for talking back. One teacher said he 'felt threatened' by me even though I never raised my hand or voice to him. I definitely would have been shot if this policy was in place when I was in school.

I was in the theater watching this and the audience erupted.
