I've definitely been seeing some bullshit around that additive-free tequila is the "healthiest" spirit, coming from a fitness influencer, not a nutritionist, scientist, or distiller. Vodka is healthiest, chemically, and whiskey is the most delicious. But let's not spread lies.

For every home distiller making 10 gallons in a year, the government loses about $30 in tax revenue. Hardly justification for a Federal crime: reuters.com/legal/governme…

Distilling is an art. These large companies have commoditized it to the point that the average person has no clue what good is anymore, they equate cost with value. Support small businesses, support craft distillers.

How I feel about most distillers...

The biggest celebrity whiskey is Pappy Van Winkle, endorsed (for free, I can only assume) by Anthony Bourdain. I think Sazerac owes his estate something very nice (maybe we all do).
