El Julan, la joya olvidada de la arqueología canaria

Este yacimiento, uno de los cuatro del Archipiélago con numerosos vestigios asociados a un poblado, es el único que carece de un plan integral de excavaciones y de conservación

British journalists seem to love trotting out the trope that there’s ‘no hard right here’

Which completely belies reality of living in this country over last few years

From Rwanda to attacking judiciary, the bed room tax to gutting our electoral law, the Playbook’s here

Worth pointing out that this has been in force in Scotland (as the Fairer Scotland duty) since 2018 and in Wales since 2021. Would be so good if commentators paid more attention to the internal diversity of the UK (or here GB).

James McEnaney The disabled also benefit from colleges. My autistic son (educated in a unit) did an HNC and HND at Forth Valley College then transferred to the 3rd year at Stirling Uni (with support). He would have been dumped on benefits without it but is now graded at 2:1 for the year.

I teach at college. We open doors. We give 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances. We bring together folks from all corners of the world. We offer new beginnings.

We are dying for lack of funding and lack of understanding/recognition of what we do. Government is not listening to us.

James McEnaney The complete lack of understanding of what colleges do is appalling.
I have been to college 3 times in my life (apprentice, evening class, leisure class) they transformed my life - most MSPs have no idea what colleges do, one famously said they do ‘hobby courses’ - clueless
