Our thoughts and solidarity are with Muslim communities and people of colour affected by the recent racist violence across the UK. We stand against all forms of racism, and are committed to supporting those impacted and working towards a more inclusive and just society.

Over recent days we have seen evidence of racism and Islamophobia. We stand in solidarity with communities who have faced intimidation directly or who now feel less safe. The places and communities affected will need support to repair the harm caused by this weekend’s violence.

The Children's Law Centre utterly condemns the violence that took place at the weekend and would like to reassert our support for our newcomer community. There is no place for hate in our society and the rights of refugees and asylum seekers must be protected.
