Last week, at council, we passed measures for public safety, including funding for essential departments. Dockets #0530-0533 and #0631-0632, totaling $12.7 million, were approved, supporting collective bargaining agreements for our police and Inspectional Services Department.

As part of Black Maternal Health Week, I was proud to speak at the amazing Room to Grow event. The panelists spoke of supporting families and women throughout their journeys, and we need to continue to close the health disparity gaps for black women & infants.
