Having champions discuss with the acting commissioner enables all to see Ministry of Health- Uganda commitment to reducing maternal deaths due to sepsis and the need for each us to advocate for simple things done well. 'Vital signs are vital!' a simple but important message to share.

As we hold our champions training, Adelline, who will be assessing the barriers and enablers of the APT-Sepsis study has been working with others to identify how best to use language to best communicate with study participants, empowering the communities we work with.

Great to see how different types of schooling work for different families. Exploring and learning by questioning, is an amazing way of finding out about the world around you. Opportunities to explore nature and see geography coming alive is a wonderful thing.

From caregivers to leaders, may we champion their strength and resilience. Because when women thrive in health, so does our global well-being. #InvestInWomen #InspireInclusion

Great to be with the APT-Sepsis team supporting early identification & treatment of maternal sepsis. Working in a country where 17 women a day die giving birth & in the month afterwards, I'm always reminded how valuable a high quality health service, free at the point of use is.

Hi Sarah Clarke on 26/01 you stated 'a survey will be commissioned, with the results published at the EGM. Results NOT conclusions - please ensure these results are shared. My neutral for 1 question was NOT a positive, so please ensure it isn't wrongly ascribed Trisha Greenhalgh

#MaternalSepsisWeek: too many women die or are left with complications after sepsis. Simple interventions make a difference. Raising awareness matters. Work such as the APT-Sepsis trial and #MILK Wellcome project aim to improve active prevention & treatment #AtTheEquatorUG

Waiting for Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus & #WHO decision around #Mpox it's crucial we treat this outbreak with the same concern given worldwide in 2022. Currently within Africa but increasing cases means it will continue to spread. Let's ensure equity in our response. Dr. Nahid Bhadelia Krutika Kuppalli, MD FIDSA
