This is an outrage. Deeply saddening news. Please continue to support the petition and the campaign! We cannot let this affront to African history win. History Matters Journal #history #Petition
This decision is so appalling & is a direct attack on Black histories in this country. It’s unbelievable that other unis, esp Liv Uni History Humanities & Social Sciences @ Uni of Liverpool have stood by in silence & let this happen. This MRes has produced 7 PhD students since 2018 & has c. 30 students currently 1/🧵
Liv Uni History Humanities & Social Sciences @ Uni of Liverpool University of Liverpool should be hosting Hakim Adi course, which is run entirely online. This is especially important in a city like Liverpool which has one of Europe’s oldest Black communities, and was responsible for the trafficking of at least 1.4 million enslaved people.
Solidarity with Professor Hakim Adi Hakim Adi, an outstanding historian who fully deserves his Wolfson Prize nomination. Full support to Save the MRes Campaign, fighting to save Chichester History of Africa & African Diaspora. Shame on University of Chichester for their actions theguardian.com/books/2023/sep…
