The fact that mental health, safety, & preparation for the world are part of the top issues makes my heart happy for my own kids who will be students in a few short years.

I want my kids to be safe and cared for so they can learn and be challenged.

The fact that beginning teacher pay RIGHT NOW in starts at $37,000–which is BELOW the minimum living wage of $48,346–is abysmal and heartbreaking.

When I was a first year teacher in 2012, my starting pay was $35,000. 🫠🫠🫠
