Following the report by Catherine Colonna on mechanisms & procedures to ensure UNRWA’s adherence to the humanitarian principle of neutrality, an action plan is put in place to implement its recommendations.

Independent investigators must be allowed immediate access.
 
The families of the dead have a right to know what happened.

The world has a right to accountability for any violations of int’l law that may have taken place.

A military assault on Rafah would be an unbearable escalation, killing thousands more civilians & forcing hundreds of thousands to flee.
 
It would have a devastating impact on Palestinians in Gaza, with serious repercussions on the occupied West Bank & across the wider region.

As negotiations are once again underway, I strongly encourage the government of Israel & the Hamas leadership to reach an agreement.

Each time an indigenous language disappears, those who speak it lose a significant part of their identity - and everyone loses important knowledge.
