This week International School of Billund we are inquiring into the importance of organisation. Our P3's were invited to create their version of their ideal organised classroom. The next five days we will try all five designs and give feedback to each other about what worked and what didn't.
Another week and another word study in P3A International School of Billund This week students read a book about Martin Luther King Jr and a book about diversity and they found unknown words that we should study. π We also had time to give feedback to each other about how our work is presented.
Today International School of Billund,thanks to a messy play in lunch break,we had a great transdisciplinary lesson, spontaneously planned by our PYP Coordinator. Our Unit is on Communities and they helped to clean up our community. Loved that they kept counting the pieces, to 876+
We are working on summaries this week International School of Billund and students made their own pistils where they will add the petals that will have the written summaries π We were so happy to see some of the summaries written in their home languages, spanish snd danish!
Science hour again International School of Billund It turns out that water walks! It climbed up through the paper towels and moved from one glass to the other! Student quotes: - The water is moving! - I did not know that yellow and red makes orange. - We made new colours with the prime colours.
We are in the last week of our Unit on Communities International School of Billund. Our students spotted issues around our community and created posters in order to help others remembering what we should do during play time, how we should respect our materials, and what the rules in the library are.
Sometimes International School of Billund we do things that are "boring" like our students thought today, but in the end we learned how perseverance is an important skill, and that's how we grow and learn. You can see an end of Unit rubric and our weekly reflection. It was worth every effort ππ
We had a great session in International School of Billund led by cartoonist Matt Smith Matt Smith! There was so much engagement! All our students drew in the comic panels by following the rules of the comics. Feedback was individualised and super informative that helped everyone improve ππ
Great workshop today for our P3A International School of Billund We had a biologist, Leia, from the Billund Kommune and Amanda with Lucy thar run the session. We started with a great nature walk which led to a great storytelling and ending with designing our lanterns for a future walk in the forest.
Today International School of Billund we focused on punctuation and especially on adding full stops. We also talked about the importance of adding adjectives, the little words that add details and help us imagine what we read. Take a look at our chain story. Our students loved acting it out πππ

For the Unit Personal Histories International School of Billund, students brought in special to them artifacts and created a museum. We got to know more about each other! They then wrote why those objects are special to them in English and in their home languages. #multilingual #pyp #homelanguage
We wrapped up our Unit: Personal Histories International School of Billund and shared our stories with our teammates around the bonfire. We had created our stories inspired by the aboriginal stories.
