The first week of fall means we're back on the doors and having lots of conversations with voters in Wisconsin. Dozens of people canvassed for Democrats in Mt. Pleasant today, including me! Here's what I heard: 🧵

Wisconsin Democrats Tammy Baldwin Peter Barca I met a woman who voted for Trump in the past but said she is voting for Harris this time. She is worried about our democracy. Another woman told me that she is "right in the middle" but doesn't like what Republicans have been up to lately. She'll be voting for Dems this year.

Wisconsin Democrats Tammy Baldwin Peter Barca I met a number of people, including a former police officer, who said they are very worried about gun violence in our schools. Some had their kids next to them as they told me that they want us to do what needs to be done to keep our kids safe.

Wisconsin Democrats Tammy Baldwin Peter Barca I heard about how reproductive decisions should be between "a woman and her doctor". I spoke with someone whose parents had been teachers at Horlick high school. She couldn't understand why we weren't giving our schools the resources they need to support every child to succeed.
