I know there’s a lot swirling as we approach the SBC so just 2 thoughts . 1) If we enter the convention w/a love for all and a spirit of grace and humility and 2) matter what happens we leave more in love with Jesus and more committed to sharing the gospel it will be a win.

When you minister to teenagers, you’re impacting two groups—one you can see and one you can’t. Everything you do to disciple teenagers will become part of the children they will someday bring into the world. Your ministry group is about three times larger than you thought.

Over the last 12 months I’ve noticed a hunger for the Bible from young adults. Maybe questioning what is truth? Hopelessness? Depression? Maybe all of this and more. This is the season in our World to go deep in the Word and teach others to do the same.

Our church is practicing five Bible focuses. 1. Have Bibles on hand at church. 2. Turn lights on so they can see their Bibles. 3. Don’t put the main passage on screens so they need look for it. 4. Use the Bible as our small group curric. 5. Teach them how to read on their own.

Great event. Thx for all you have done Monty Patton to get us this far.

So grateful to have led a young man to pray and receive Jesus today. Each time I’m reminded of the amazing love of Jesus to rescue the lost and broken.

This is Cayo Cavalcantee, a 30yr old church planter from OK by way of Brazil. Over dinner he told me he was an RA as a kid. After both of us quoted our RA pledge it hit me that here is a man impacted by the U.S. church to Brazil. Now he is a missionary to us. @wearesendnetwork

Back in the 80s, the American church had a new trend called “church growth”. The 90s trend was “church health”. Finally in 2010s we saw a rise of disciple making. 🙌Then COVID. In an attempt to get people back, I’m seeing a trend in “church growth”. 🙃 Follow Jesus not trends

We all pray for people we like & love & who help us but if we can keep on praying for people who hurt or disappoint us the chances of reconciliation & restoration go up - even if it doesn’t happen they need your prayers & those prayers will impact YOU more than them & mature you
