A joint team of University of Global Health Equity' students in MGHD program and Butaro hospital staff are working on QI projects to improve surgical care at the site. The presentation of this evening has shown very important measures to implement so that the care can meet patients' satisfaction.

Today, 10 Health Centers in Burera District have got portable ultrasound machines as a donation from RHIYW Rwanda. In his appreciation remarks, the DG of Butaro Hospital, Lt Col Dr Emmanuel Kayitare, has insisted to the valuable partnership that seeks to improve maternal health.

Our 16 nurses, 2 medical doctors and 2 anesthetists have been awarded certificates of completing the ICU courses. In his remarks, the DG of #ButaroHospital, Lt Col Dr Emmanuel recalled graduands “you gonna be the pillars of support for the very critical patients" PIH_Rwanda

This is to officially launch a pediatrics operating room, a facility funded by Kids Operating Room through the partnership with PIH_Rwanda. The Ministry of Health | Rwanda's Dr Jean Baptiste, among other officials, has emphasized the contribution of the launched theatre to the service delivery.

UPDATE: State-of-the-art Pediatric Operating Suite unveiled at Butaro Hospital & Cancer Center, northern Rwanda, for key cancer surgery for kids. Suite has pediatric surgical kits, infant warmer, infusion pumps, O2 concentrators, etc. Since June, 42 children successfully treated.
