Hello, 009 District Community these are some of the back to school events that are going on this month to welcome back our students.

BYNC Back to School giveaway is going on right now. Plenty of resource tables for the youth.

BYNC back to school giveaway they are here until 3pm at Davis Square park.

Ping tom park advisory council and 9th District CAPS Office team up for an back to school event. Thank you all that attended and received some back to school supplies and information.

009th District tactical officers conducted a traffic stop in the 4500 block Hermitage on 13 Aug. Suspect was placed into custody and charged with UUW by Felon and a firearm was removed from our neighborhood. A job well done.

009th District tactical officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 900 W 32nd St on Aug 13th. Suspect was placed in custody and charged with aggravated UUW. Another dangerous weapon off the street of Chicago.

9 Dist. Officer’s conducted a street stop in the 3500 block California on 15 Aug. Officer’s observed and recovered a firearm with an extended magazine, a rifle with laser sights and an extended magazine inside the vehicle.  Felony charges are pending at this time.

009th District tactical officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block Wentworth on 15 Aug. The suspect with a gun was charged with Agg UUW. A firearm was removed from our neighborhood.

2024 Democratic National Convention Keeping the community safe.

Thank you 9th Dist community and businesses for coming together to show Police Appreciation by feeding our officers during the week of the DNC. Our officers enjoyed hot meals while working extended shifts and cancelled days off. Thank you very much for the overwhelming support!

9th Dist. Tactical officers conducted a traffic stop in the 5400 block Damen Ave. Further investigation revealed this vehicle was involved in another incident in the 4600 block Paulina. Suspect taken into custody.

9th Dist. Tactical officers observed a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic in the 4800 block California. Officers conducted a traffic stop and observed open alcohol, further investigation officers recovered a weapon. Job well done.

9th Dist. Officers observed a vehicle parked illegally at a fire hydrant in the 5200 block Albany. Subject presented someone else's ID in attempts to conceal his identity. Further investigation a weapon and suspect narcotics were recovered. A job well done.

9 Dist. officers responded to a dispatched theft job in the 4800 Ashland. Officers recovered a loaded firearm which officers later learned it was a stolen weapon. Great job officers.
