I gave a career presentation to some 7th and 8th graders last week. They asked where we bought our chemicals and when I mentioned sigma, they all laughed. Had no idea why until I decoded the gen alpha slang. Man, do I feel old 🤣

Has anyone been to an IUPAC world chemistry congress before? What are your thoughts on the meeting?

Congrats to Xavier, who defended his undergraduate thesis last week! 🥳 Xavier is off on a well deserved vacation and will be back at York to wrap up his studies in the fall. Sam will also be staying in the group to begin her undergraduate thesis next week!
