Any Labour MP who votes with the government to remove the winter fuel allowance from millions of pensioners or indeed, abstains from voting, are putting tribal party politics above their own constituents and common decency. They should vote with principles rather than cowardice.

Labour said they’d freeze energy bills. Lie. Labour said they’d protect pensioners. Lie. Labour said they’re on the side of motorists. Lie. Labour said they wouldn’t increase taxes on working people. Lie. This Labour govt is rotten to the core.

I can attest to this. On multiple occasions I have been called by panicking constituents scared to leave the house due to bailiffs banging on the door making untrue threats. On at least two occasions, it was a council error and no tax was even due!
