Hoping this international document will help advance care for people with chronic lung disease and frailty. Thanks for your leadership on this Matt Maddocks and Christian Osadnik and to the other experts from around the world who helped assemble this.

Worth the short read for anyone interested in #frailty - assessments need purpose (to guide management). Always find the perspectives of Matteo Cesari to be enlightening! :)

Hoping to re-raise awareness of this important treatable traits study for pulmonary rehabilitation. Delphi survey still open and in need of some more participants (clinicians and researchers). Thank you for helping to retweet to the respiratory community! 🙏🏼

Interested to know more about a) how people accumulate #PhysicalActivity during inpatient #AECOPD; b) the different ways to express it; and c) its clinical relevance? We took a bit of a deep dive with some interesting findings. Read more here: mdpi.com/2077-0383/12/1…

Frailty: a predictor of mortality across restrictive (highest observed death rate), obstructive, and mixed airflow defects. Data from the SARA study (n~2000) 🇮🇹. A pleasure to have collaborated with Dr. Simone Scarlata, Matteo Cesari and colleagues. 👏link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Off to #ERSCongress in Milan shortly. Excited to reunite in person with colleagues, see friend and learn lots. Have you seen the fab new educational web resource developed by our team at @ResPTlab yet? Will present a poster on it on Sunday. Find it at lungflarecare.com

Thanks to everyone who came along to talk with me about lungflarecare.com - our new educational web resource for #AECOPD. Next steps in our journey: 1) raise awareness for pts and HCPs; 2) content translation (already in development); 3) endorsements by key organisations.

Anyone else also struggling to keep up with all the scientific content, meetings, networking and trying to post to social media at #ERSCongress #ERS2023?! I’m clearly rusty 😂 The reconnections and making of new friends, esp. in ERS_Assembly9, is definitely the BEST part though!

Probably my favourite session of #ERSCongress so far! Thanks Daniel and Deniz for chairing and all the speakers. Lots of insights into physical activity in #COPD. Seems PA interventions might be more successful in people with higher ex capacity (more ‘functional reserve’).

Thanks to the team at Medicine Today for the invitation to help spread the word about the importance of #frailty in chronic lung disease primarily to Australian GPs. A very enjoyable experience 👏👏

Congrats Matthias Loeckx, Fernanda Rodrigues, Astrid Blondeel, Heleen Demeyer, Thierry Troosters and co. for the hard work to publish the STEP study: Semi-automated PA-telecoaching after PR improved the amount of PA but did not maintain other PR-acquired benefits 👇ijbnpa.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
