My thoughts are with the families of hostages who are waiting to learn if bodies recovered by the IDF in Gaza are their loved ones. This is an unbearably dark and devastating chapter of Jewish history.

Today Israel started an initiative to vaccinate 640,000 Gazan children because one recently contracted polio. Hamas showed it's gratitude by executing 6 hostages. There is no moral equivalency in this war. There is good, and there is barbaric evil.

In case you need clarification, a terrorist group who is executing hostages does not want a ceasefire. They want a war.

Hersh Goldberg-Polin WAS MURDERED.

At Hersh Goldberg-Polin's funeral his family makes no calls for revenge. They could be forgiven if they did. Instead, they speak of their love for Hersh. His curiosity. His desire to understand people. His convictions for peace. They are the best among us. So was he.

Jewish Americans know Hersh Goldberg-Polin’s name. We’ve been saying his name since Oct. 7. We’ve been grieving his murder since Sunday. Not Donald Trump. He just called him “Hersh Goldman.” Despicable.
