Astronaut Bruce McCandless II became the first human being to perform spacewalk without a safety tether linked to a spacecraft. He floated completely untethered in space with nothing but his Manned Maneuvering Unit keeping him alive.

Went for a walk along the canalside in East London. ‘How urban’ you might think, but it was a haven of higgledy piggledy barges, water teeming with swans, geese, ducks & cormorants & the pathways fragrant with wildflowers & even fig trees. Such a delight in the golden sunshine!

Awoke to an unfamiliar feeling as-of-late: oh yeah, it’s cold! Nonetheless, warmest wishes of the day everyone!
