Civic engagement in action! I was glad to stop by Central Falls High School today for Participatory Budgeting (PB) Voting Day. Students presented 9 big ideas for school improvement, and each member of the student body had the opportunity to cast a vote to make one a reality.

I was honored to be asked to participate in the installation of new officers for the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center. The Center has been an invaluable community resource for 30+ years, promoting acceptance and understanding through education.

This Memorial Day let’s pause to reflect on the principles that so many brave men and women have sacrificed to defend - freedom, equality, justice, civility.

Had the opportunity to join @rifoodbank for their Spring Breakfast earlier this week. Rhode Island Foundation is proud to support work to improve the quality of life in RI by advancing solutions to food insecurity.

Advancing economic justice and mobility is something we invest in @rifoundation. I was glad to join supporters of @econprogressri recently to hear more about the research, analysis, and advocacy work this transformational org is focused on.
