Simply devastated to hear of the sudden death of good friend and colleague Ian Keatley. Such a kind, funny and talented man. Thoughts with his family, loved ones and the community Southwark Cathedral where he is so loved. May he RIP.
Congratulations to Jan Lieberman on winning first prize at the NIIOC competition (Charles Wood Festival) - a wonderful platform for young organists. Congratulations to all who organise it, including Richard Yarr MBE DL and David Hill. Great to see lots of friends from the organ world!
Trying to ‘get’ #Sibelius and listening to #Prom with BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and enjoying Ian Skelly ‘s presentation. It’s helping my education particularly the commission of his 5th Symphony by the Finnish Gov’t for his 50th birthday. So, it wouldn’t happen now; such a small gesture. Mmm?

Yesterday we re-united in our first rehearsal back after the summer break! Britten’s War Requiem will kick off our season - we were the Choir on its very first recording. It will be a privilege to be able to continue our story with this poignant, thrilling work. David Hill
Attended Nigel Perrin’s memorial service in Bath Abbey and lovely to see so many paying their respects to a true choral legend. Great to catch up with friends and latest gossip.
