This is Matilda, 2, who has cerebral palsy. She can't sit, crawl or walk BUT her Wizzybug has given her the independence she wanted. Her mum said: “Seeing her have the chance to splash in puddles, explore her environment and escape from us like any other toddler is so special."

We've given Wizzybugs to children with conditions like cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy and lesser-known disabilities which might affect a child’s ability to walk. If you know a child 14 months – 5 years, check out designability.org.uk/assistive-solu…

If anyone says young kids can’t master a powered wheelchair, show them Harry! His mum said: “After practising the tight turns into our front door for over a year, he managed it all by himself the other day! So proud of his driving skills- many months of practice has paid off"

Did you know children with visual impairments can use Wizzybug? With close supervision and support, children can be encouraged to experience the action of movement. There's research that shows it can help kids to develop visual maps of their environment: designability.org.uk/assistive-solu…

Magic moments with Morris 🪄 It’s finally here: the day you get fitted for your very own Wizzybug. It’s a bit strange and you’re not sure what those 2 grown-ups are doing fiddling with harnesses and adding the footplate, but you do know that your new ride looks -super- cool.

Wizzybug should be viewed as 1 way of a child moving - powered mobility doesn't have to replace a walking aid or manual wheelchair. Research has shown skills learnt through having something like Wizzybug can transfer to other mobility. How cool is that? designability.org.uk/assistive-solu…

An appeal to the UK weather: please brighten up so kids can get outside in their Wizzybugs! We’re hoping this clip of Danaan having fun outside on one of our rarer, warmer days will act as a kind of ‘sun dance’. Well, we can try can’t we? designability.org.uk/assistive-solu…

Having a Wizzybug powered wheelchair is more than learning to drive. It’s about exploring and experiencing the sensation of movement. Some children may only ever accidentally move the joystick but this will still unlock their development: designability.org.uk/assistive-solu…

Disabled people make 38% fewer journeys than non-disabled people because transport is not as accessible as it should be. We’ve joined National Centre for Accessible Transport to work together with disabled people to create change but we need your voices to bring this work to life: bit.ly/JoinCATPanel
