Indian 105mm crew fires on Pakistani positions. The gun is the Light Field Gun Mk.2 - a much upgraded variant of the Indian Field Gun. The cannon itself is the legendary British L/7. The gun typically has a 6-man crew but it's undermanned here
During #WW1, the French were particularly taken by (I.e obsessed with) the mass of Indian troops deployed to the country. The greatest obsession was with Sikh troops, as can be seen from the cover of the 1923 Le Petit Journal (LPJ is also famous for first publishing Tintin)
