I've cut hundreds of canine c-sections in the (not quite) 4 years I've spent at my practice but tonight I finally caved and let someone watch 🤪 Everything went well and the owner loved having a front row seat rather than waiting in our lobby alone!

A big factor in changing jobs was that I wanted to do more dairy work - so far so good on that front! In my first week here I cut an RDA (with minimal checks/reassurance from my boss) plus tackled a uterine torsion on my first night on call. Feels good to be back in it 🐮

Did I have to just about lay on the floor and twist my head around like an owl to get the mini donkey's teeth floated? Yes. But did I get the poor old girl in more comfortable shape by the time I was done? Absolutely also yes! Gotta love those tiny critters 🫏
