25 years ago, #UNSC adopted Res.1261, placing children & armed conflict on its agenda. #CAAC Since then, many children have been spared the worst of war & 150,000 have been released from armed groups & forces. Yet too many still suffer unbearably. We must protect them better.

Children in Gaza children have begun receiving the life-saving polio vaccine. Teams are administrating vaccines in 28 UNRWA facilities in the middle area of Gaza. Health workers are also going tent to tent as they attempt to reach vulnerable.

Yet another brutal attack in Kharkiv today where children are among the reported casualties. In the last week, at least 43 children were reportedly killed or injured in attacks across Ukraine. Children in Ukraine have endured too much already. Attacks must stop!
