For years, we have told the Georgian Orthodox Church to be wary of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s authoritarianism. Dictators are never friends of strong and independent institutions. Hopeful to see the Church take a stance. Any effort to increase GD’s role within the GOC is dangerous.
