Delighted to appear on Between The Lines with the lovely HLTCO to talk all about Doing The 92. We chatted about logistics, travel, excitement, the joy of visiting new stadiums and why supporters of lower-league teams deserve coverage of their clubs. podfollow.com/football-betwe…

These prices are an absolute liberty from Aston Villa. The first time they’ve been in the competition from 41 years and they’re charging fans this much to attend.

There will have been Villa fans who’ve followed them through thick and thin across decades who now won’t be able to afford tickets to this. We all know the game is dictated by money now but this is such an extreme example. Utterly shambolic.

I really enjoyed this interview with Daniel Storey, at a time when mainstream media is so heavily focussed on the big clubs, this is an attempt to shine a light on the whole EFL with genuine respect and affection. He’s a top, top bloke and a fantastic writer as well.

Mad story from the end of the transfer window. Ernest Nuamah, a 20-year-old winger at Lyon was set to sign for Fulham but was in “floods of tears” during his medical because he didn’t want to leave the French club and felt he was being forced out against his will. He started

Aston Villa’s Champions League ticket prices are an absolute disgrace and should be pushed back on by fans of all clubs across the English game.

Tonight, San Marino host Liechtenstein. San Marino haven’t won a game at any level, competitive or friendly since 28th April 2004, when they beat Liechtenstein 1-0. Liechtenstein have only won twice since October 2018, one of those wins was against San Marino. I’m so in.

Apparently, the apology from John Textor was actually formally given to Ernest Nuamah and not Fulham, given the way things panned out. I read it on Football365 but it seems to have been lost in translation between French and UK publications.

HISTORY! SAN MARINO HANG ON FOR THEIR FIRST WIN IN MORE THAN 20 YEARS. THEY BEAT LIECHTENSTEIN 1-0 THEN AND THEY’VE JUST DONE IT AGAIN! Magic.
