Words have meaning. What is BROAD BASED about ODM-KK Coalition? In these unprecedented times, we CANNOT afford to do politics as usual. Young people are asking for hope. They are demanding a concrete part in affairs of their country! Let us not be casual about it!

I was rather disappointed by the Nominee for Health - she was for the most part talking in generalities. Even with much probing she was not able to dive deeper into issues that drive the health sector in Kenya!

Most disappointing aspect of CSs vetting just witnessed was the utter inability (or was it deliberate?) of Parliament to interrogate the source of wealth of the Nominees. They didn’t even attempt. Such money is unheard of even among peers in most industrialized nations!

Shocking when those in Government LAMENT of levels of corruption in the country & amounts lost every year - what are the rest of citizenry expected to do? To investigate & whip those involved in graft? Why are the responsible institutions behaving awfully deficient?

Education has many stakeholders: students, parents, teachers, government, communities etc. Therefore regular, clear and simple communication is paramount. That is the primary job of the CS and PS - to give instructions to those concerned & REPEAT the same again and again!

This is very encouraging for JSS Teachers - Parliament and Executive should push this through to strengthen implementation of CBC education system.

There is sense in consolidating all nurseries & funds & offer FREE PUBLIC EDUCATION especially at University level. No country can industrialize without well funded universities! Education is the hope of every household, & a PROMISE to every child or youth. It is an EQUALIZER!

The East African Region is unanimous and magnanimous in their support to Kenya’s candidature to Chairmanship of AU Commission - this overrides our internal issues and sometimes sharp differences! All the best to the former PM Raila Odinga!

The loss of Nyeri children in a school fire is deeply distressing, tragic, & a most unfortunate incident. Very hard to countenance the pain of parents, relatives, and community at large. A sharp reminder to the country of what can go terribly wrong. In such situations words fail!

We can build an ultra modern airport. Just INVEST 60 billion every year (to account for inflation) for five years. Surely Kenya can afford to put aside 60B for this purpose/yr. We do not need the Adanis of this world. Other options abound. It is called home-grown solutions!

CORRUPTION in Kenya has become a joke because those who practice WON’T stop doing it, and those in power CAN but WON’T stop them. They pretend to look in the opposite direction! It has become like a story told to generations without end. We must stop the crap and save country!

If the Government wants to give CBC a chance, let JSS be domiciled in secondary schools where teachers have higher level of training, and where infrastructure exists! Otherwise construct modern & adequate JSS with sufficient streams in each County. Primary school option is out!
