Todays episode of the Kitchen Cabinet, from Aberystwyth, comes with visuals courtesy of the great Zoe Laughlin. We’re talking Syrup, Syrian food and so much more. 10.30am on BBC Radio 4.

And it turns out one of those front line Tories gagging to follow Kwasi out the door was Michael Gove. As one of the prime architects of the last 14 disastrous years he can leave knowing exactly what he’s done. His commitment to public service is now over. So there’s that.
