A tremendously fun player to watch compete. Alec Blakestad broke his hand JR year, still played and got two knocks. He then proceeded to break his foot on a bunt single (still ran to third on error and scored). 30 pumps SO-SR year after not homering in first 19 years of life.

Will never forget throwing Alec Blakestad BP when he hit a homer for the 1st time. The “I can do this” moment in real time. We all knew what he was capable of. So happy he realized it too. The Blakestad family means a great deal to me. Filled with joy reading this.

Take your time. See so many guys rush through everything. You’re never taking 8 swings in 45 seconds during game. 75 swings over the course of an hour is a good session. Allow room to have conversation, absorb what’s happening and truly understand the intent of each round.
